Summer Session Library Hours

The library’s hours during Summer Session I and II are:

Monday – Thursday
8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Saturday
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday
1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Hours are subject to change on holidays, holiday weekends and when classes are not being held.  The Deloitte Cafe (Einstein’s) has closed for the summer.  For more information about the library’s hours please view our online hours calendar.

Special Library Hours: Friday, May 8th – Sunday, May 17th

The library’s hours change for the period of time after finals end and before the start of summer session. Hours will change again when summer session classes begin on Monday, May 18.

Please note that the Deloitte Café/Einstein’s closes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, for the duration of the summer.

24-Hour Access for Exams Begins Monday, April 27

night-owlThe Bentley Library will be open for 24-hour access most days* of final exams period, beginning on Monday, April 27 (two days before Reading Day) and ending on Thursday, May 7 (the last day of exams).

See the detailed schedule below for complete information. Please note the weekend exceptions on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3.

 Monday, April 27 – Saturday, May 2:

Open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, April 27 & remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2

*Saturday, May 2:

Close at 9:00 p.m.

*Sunday, May 3 – Thursday, May 7

Open at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 3 & remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7

Thursday, May 7:

Close at 9:00 p.m.

What to expect:

  • Reference services will not be available during the extended late-night hours.
  • All patrons in the building at 2:00 a.m. will be required to show a Bentley ID in order to remain in the building.
  • Patrons entering the Library after 2:00 a.m. must enter via the front entrance and will need to show their Bentley ID upon entry.

Patriots’ Day Holiday Weekend Hours

The library has modified hours during the Patriots’ Day holiday weekend. On Sunday, April 19, we will open late at 1:00 p.m. and close early at 9:00 p.m. On Monday, April 20, we will open late at 10:00 a.m. The Deloitte Cafe/Einsteins has also adjusted hours on Sunday and Monday.

Saturday, April 18:
(no changes)
library: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
cafe: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, April 19:
library: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
cafe: 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Monday, April 20:
library: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.
cafe: 10:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Spring Break Hours: Sat. March 7th – Sun. March 15th

It may not feel or look like spring, but it is time for Spring Break! Those of you not headed out of town might be wondering if the library is open during break. Yes, we are, with some modifications to our normal hours:

Library Opening at 5:00pm on Sunday, February 15th

We are happy to report that the conditions are clear enough to open at 5:00 p.m. today. The library will close at its normal 2:00 a.m. closing time.  The cafe will be open from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Please take care on the roads, sidewalks and stairs, and dress in many layers.

Library Closed Sun. 2/15; Decision About Evening Hours is Pending.

[Updated Sunday, February 15, at 9:55 a.m.] Due to the blizzard, the Bentley Library will be closed during the day today, Sunday, February 15th.  A decision about evening hours will be made by 2:00 p.m. The decision is dependent upon the forecast and campus conditions on Sunday.  Please follow the library’s updates here or on Twitter and Facebook.
