Bentley Ranked #15 “Best College Library”

We are proud to report that Bentley University has made its second appearance in the “Best College Library” category of The Princeton Review’s college rankings! Bentley is ranked #15 for Best College Library in the 2015 edition of The Best 379 Colleges (published August 2014).best379 Bentley was previously included in the Best College Library rankings of the 2011 edition of The Princeton Review’s publication.

This ranking is a result of the company’s survey of over 130,000 students attending the 379 colleges in its book. Students were asked to rate their own schools on various topics and report on their campus experiences at them. The survey included the question “How do you rate your school’s library facilities?”.

The Best 379 Colleges 2015 edition also ranks Bentley #4 for Best Career Services and #17 for Best College Dorms. Visit the The Princeton Review’s college rankings site to learn more about their lists and methodology.

The library thanks all of the Bentley University students who helped us to be recognized as a “best college library”!

Get Your Summer Vacation Reading Here

The first thing I did this morning?  Checked out a few books for my upcoming vacation. I grabbed two brand-new arrivals (Those Who Wish Me Dead by Michael Koryta and That Night by Chevy Stevens) and my book club’s latest selection (Katherine Dunn’s Geek Love)  to supplement the pile of books I have awaiting me at home. I’m looking forward to having a lazy-days-of-summer vacation (think beach and backyard), during which I try to read a year’s worth of fiction in two weeks. beach-chairs

I hope that you all get time off from work and the other stresses of life this summer.  If your idea of a great vacation includes books, please visit us before you hit the road.  We have many new releases (and older favorites) for you to choose from – in hardcover, audiobook (CD and Playaway), and downloadable OverDrive eBook and .mp3 formats!

Get started by browsing the Popular Reading and Audiobooks shelves on the main level of the library.  If you prefer to do your reading and listening on a mobile device, check out our OverDrive downloadable library. Don’t forget, library staff can help you locate a specific title/author, offer book recommendations and help you download eBooks.

Enjoy!

Class of 2014 graduate Terry Del Rossi with his book dedication.

Congratulations, Bentley University Class of 2014! This year the library will be saying goodbye to three graduating student employees:

Lucas DeBarros
Owen Bang
Terry Del Rossi

It is a Bentley Library tradition to honor our graduating employees with a book or film dedication.  In appreciation for their service, we asked Lucas, Owen and Terry to choose a book or film to be dedicated with a bookplate in their name. Visit the Bentley Library’s Student Employee Dedication board on Pinterest to see their selections.

We wish Lucas, Owen, Terry, and all Bentley University graduates much happiness and success in the future!
