Library Closed Nights & Weekends: August 11 – September 3

Summer session is ending and the library’s hours are changing. Starting on Saturday, August 11, the library will be closed evenings and weekends.

Library Hours
Saturday, August 11 – Monday, September 3 (Labor Day)

Monday – Thursday:
8:00am – 6:00pm

Friday:
8:00am – 4:00pm
(note: open until 4:30pm on 8/24 & 8/31)

Saturday and Sunday:
CLOSED

Monday, September 3:
Labor Day Holiday – CLOSED

The library will resume regular hours with the start of the fall semester on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. For more information about the hours please check our online hours calendar.

Library Closed This Weekend & Wed. July 4

The  library will be closed the weekend between the end of summer session I and the start of summer session II – Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1.  We will also be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Memorial Day Weekend Closing

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, we will be closed Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28.  We will resume our regular summer session hours at 8:00am on Tuesday, May 29.

ESOL Center & Writing Center Offer Help to Summer Session Students

Summer session students take note, the ESOL Center and the Writing Center are open this summer and their tutors are eager to lend you a helping hand!  Students are encouraged to make an appointment online using the links below, but walk-ins are also welcome. Both centers are located on the lower level of the library.

The ESOL Center [Opens May 29]

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 3:00PM to 6:00PM

Looking for help with writing, presentations, pronunciation and conversation enrichment? Come to the ESOL Center. Bentley University students whose home language is not English are invited to take advantage of the free tutorial services offered by Bentley’s ESOL Center.  All students (including graduate students) can schedule an appointment online using the undergraduate scheduling database link, call 781.891.2021 to make an appointment, or drop in to see if a faculty tutor is available.

The Writing Center [Opens May 21]

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 2:00PM to 6:00PM [updated June 5, 2012]  

Writing Center staff are available to provide one-to-one assistance with writing skills. Students can either drop in during open hours, schedule an appointment online, or call 781.891.3173 to make an appointment.

Summer Session Hours Begin May 21

Summer Session begins on Monday, May 21, 2012.  Our regular summer session hours are:

Sunday
1:00PM – 10:00PM

Monday – Thursday
8:00AM – 10:00PM

Friday
8:00AM – 4:00PM

Saturday
9:00AM – 5:00PM

Please note: Hours are subject to change on holidays and holiday weekends (including Memorial Day weekend – May 26- 28), and when classes are not being held.  The Deloitte Cafe has closed for the summer.

Special Library Hours: May 11 – May 20

The Library’s hours change for the period of time after finals and before the start of Summer Session – May 11 to May 20, 2012.  Evening hours are reduced and we will be closed on the weekends.

– On Friday, May 11, the library is open from 7:30AM to 4:30PM.

– From Saturday, May 12, to Sunday, May 20, the library’s hours are:

Monday – Thursday:
8:00AM – 9:00PM

Friday:
8:00AM – 6:00PM

Saturday & Sunday:
CLOSED

Our hours will change again when summer session classes begin on Monday, May 21. Please note that the Deloitte Café closes on Thursday, May 10, for the duration of the summer.

We’re Open ‘Round the Clock for Final Exams

Well, it’s that time of the semester again… The library’s 24-hour access for final exams begins at 7:30AM on Tuesday, May 1 (Reading Day) and ends at 9:00PM on Thursday, May 10 (last day of exams).  There’s just one small exception – we close at 9:00PM on Saturday, May 5 and reopen at 10:00AM on Sunday, May 6, because everyone should take a little break from studying!

Tuesday, May 1 – Saturday, May 5:
open 24 hoursOpen at 7:30AM on Tuesday 5/1 and remain open until 9:00PM on Saturday 5/5

*Saturday, May 5:
Close at 9:00PM

Sunday, May 6 – Thursday, May 10:
Open at 10:00AM on Sunday 5/6 and remain open until 9:00PM on Thursday, 5/10

What to expect:

  • Reference services will not be available during the extended late-night hours.
  • All patrons in the building at 2:00am will be required to show a Bentley ID in order to remain in the building.
  • Patrons entering the Library after 2:00am must enter via the front entrance and will need to show their Bentley ID upon entry.

The library’s hours for the Patriot’s Day Holiday Weekend are:

Saturday, April 14:

10:00am– 2:00am
