Special Library Hours: May 10-19

The Library’s hours change for the period of time after finals and before the start of summer session – Friday, May 10, to Sunday, May 19, 2013.  Please note that the Deloitte Café closes at 6:00pm on Thursday, May 9, for the duration of the summer.

24-hour Library Access for Finals Starts Monday, April 29

open 24 hoursThis semester the library’s 24-hour access for final exams begins at 7:30am on Monday, April 29 (the day before Reading Day) and ends at 9:00pm on Thursday, May 9 (last day of exams).

*Please note the Saturday night/Sunday morning exception – because everyone should take a little break from studying!

Monday, April 29  – Saturday, May 4:
24 hour access
Open at 7:30am on Monday, April 29 and remain open until
9:00pm on Saturday, May 4

*Saturday, May 4:
Close at 9:00pm

Sunday, May 5 – Thursday, May 9:
24 hour access
Open at 10:00am on Sunday, May 5 and remain open until
9:00pm on Thursday, May 9

What to expect:

  • Reference services will not be available during the extended late-night hours.
  • All patrons in the building at 2:00am will be required to show a Bentley ID in order to remain in the building.
  • Patrons entering the Library after 2:00am must enter via the front entrance and will need to show their Bentley ID upon entry.

Library Hours during Spring Break: March 9-17

Those of you who are not headed out of town for spring break might be wondering if the library will be open.  You’ll be pleased to hear that we are, with some minor modifications to our normal hours.

Saturday, March 9 & Sunday, March 10:
 CLOSED

Monday, March 11 — Thursday, March 14:
8:00am to 6:00pm

Friday, March 15:
8:00am to 4:30pm

Saturday, March 16:
CLOSED

Sunday, March 17:
1:00pm to 2:00am

Please note: The Deloitte Cafe/Einstein Bros. Bagels will be closed Saturday, March 9 through Sunday, March 17.

Library Hours: Presidents Day Holiday Weekend

Please note that we have made one minor change to our normal operating hours for the Presidents’ Day holiday weekend.  The library is open regular hours on Saturday, February 16, and Sunday, February 17, but we will open a bit later than normal (at 10:00am) on Monday, February 18.

In light of Bentley University’s decision to remain closed on Sunday, February 10, 2013, the Bentley Library will not be reopening as planned.  The Bentley Library hopes to resume normal hours on Monday, February 11, at 7:30am. Stay tuned to http://www.bentley.edu for official University storm-related annoucements.

The university remains closed on Sunday, February 10, 2013, due to the snowstorm. All events are cancelled and all administrative and academic buildings are closed.

Library Reopens Sunday, Feb. 10 at 10am

We are very happy to say that the library will be resuming normal hours of operation on Sunday, February 10. Our doors will open at 10:00am and close at 2:00am. Visit, call, email or chat with us — we will be there!

Winter Storm Closing: Friday Feb. 8 & Saturday Feb. 9

weather-snowDue to the blizzard, Bentley University and the Bentley Library will be closed on Friday, February 8, 2013.   Although the University has not yet announced a closure for Saturday, the Bentley Library will also be closed on Saturday, February 9, 2013. We are planning this closure based on the forecast of continued blizzard conditions on Saturday.

Weather permitting, the Bentley Library will reopen on Sunday, February 10, at 10:00am.

Library Hours for Wintersession: Jan. 14-21

This week, while wintersession classes are being held, the library’s evening hours have been extended:

Friday, January 18
8:00am – 6:00pm

Please note that the library is closed this weekend, as well as on Monday, January 21 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday:

Regular semester hours begin on the first day of spring semester classes – Tuesday, January 22. The Deloitte Café is closed until January 22.
