4th of July Holiday: Online Help Hours Change

In observance of the Independence Day holiday, the following special virtual service hours will be in effect Thursday, July 2 – Sunday, July 5. We will resume normal summer hours in all departments on Monday, July 6.

Memorial Day Holiday: Online Help Hours Update May 23-25

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, the library’s online help services will be unavailable Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25. We will resume our normal summer hours on Tuesday, May 26.

As always, our online research databases, eBook collections and streaming films databases are accessible 24×7 with your Bentley email address and password.

Now that the spring semester has ended we are making some changes to our online help hours for the summer. These hours go into effect Monday, May 11, but are subject to change. Please continue to follow our updates here!

If you need help with research for classes or projects over the summer, you can contact the Reference Desk via email, chat, and text. Librarians are also available for research consultations via Zoom.

Research Consultations: Research Help by Appointment

Research consultations are scheduled one-on-one meetings with a reference librarian. You can also schedule these consultations for a small group. Consultations usually last 30 minutes and take place during Reference Librarian hours as listed above.  All consultations will be held using Zoom. Please schedule a Research Consultation using our online form. 48 hours advanced notice required.

Special Library Hours: Sunday, March 15 - Saturday, March 21

Bentley University has announced that classes will not be held March 16–20 as the university and students prepare to move to remote, online classes beginning Monday, March 23.

The Bentley Library will be open Sunday, March 15–Saturday, March 21 to accommodate faculty, staff and students who need access to our physical collections and resources.

Currently, the library plans to be open as listed below, but this schedule may change at any time in accordance with university policies. Please visit https://www.bentley.edu/coronavirus for university updates and communications related to COVID-19.

Library staff are making plans for providing services, resources, research assistance and instruction when online classes begin on March 23. Spring Break Hours: Sat. March 7 - Sun. March 15

Who’s ready for Spring Break? (That’s easy to answer – we all are!) Although classes won’t be in session, the library will remain open during the week with some modifications to our normal hours.

If you are staying in the area you can visit for a quiet place to relax, to borrow books and movies, or to pick up a museum pass (there are still plenty of passes available – reserve them online now). We also have some special bonus passes available for the Peabody Essex Museum – one pass grants two people FREE admission. You don’t need to reserve these special passes, but our supplies are limited. Stop at the Library Services Desk to pick one up before they disappear!
