Extended Study Hours! 24-Hour Access Starts Monday, December 9

The library’s 24-hour access for final exams begins at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, December 9 (the day before Reading Day) and ends at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18 (the last day of exams), with exceptions on Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday 12/13 the library will close at midnight and on Saturday 12/14 the library will close at 9:00 p.m.

Monday, December 9 – Friday, December 13:
Open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday 12/9 and remain open
until midnight on Friday 12/13

Saturday, December 14:
Open 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 15 – Wednesday, December 18
Open at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday 12/15 and remain open
until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday 12/18

What to expect during the extended hours:

  • The library is implementing Bentley ID card-swipe access during the overnight hours. Only Bentley ID card holders will be able to enter the library between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Please use the card-swipe box at the building’s front entrance.
  • Reference services will not be available during the extended late-night hours.

November's New Acquisitions: Books, Movies & More.

Take a look at the new books, movies, TV shows, audiobooks and ebooks that we added to our collection last month! Go to the New Books & DVDs page to browse the new arrivals by subject or format. When you see something you want, click the “Request” button to place a hold on it.

Downloadable ebooks and digital audiobooks are available via our OverDrive collection, and you now have a choice of OverDrive apps to use – the original OverDrive app and/or the new Libby app. For help using OverDrive, view their Getting Started page or contact the Reference Desk for personal assistance.

Delayed Opening: Monday, December 2 at 9:30am

Due to the inclement weather, the University and the Library will open at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2.

For official updates about the status of the university, check the Bentley University website or call the Bentley University Storm Emergency line at 781.891.2020. We also encourage you to follow the library’s updates on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Don’t forget that even when the library’s doors are closed, our research databases, eBook collections and streaming films databases are always accessible from both on and off campus.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours: Tuesday 11/26 - Sunday 12/1

The library will close for Bentley University’s Thanksgiving Break at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26. We will reopen at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1.

Wednesday, December 4: Research Party!

Research Party hosted by the Library & The Writing Center flyer. Wednesday, December 4, 2:00-5:00 p.m. Room 11, Lower Level.

The Library is offering an opportunity to unwind, socialize with fellow students, and finish up final assignments with a research party!

Bring whatever you are working on and get immediate expert assistance. Librarians and Writing Center tutors will be standing by and can support you with as much or as little help as you need.

Come solo or with some friends, and enjoy some snacks!

No RSVP necessary – just drop by LIB Room 011.

Don’t forget: librarians also provide research help 7 days/week at the Reference Desk. Visit, email, call 781.891.2300, text 781.728.0511, or IM/chat with a librarian whenever the Reference Desk is open.

The Writing Center tutors provide writing and citation help 6 days/week when the Writing Center is open. Visit the Writing Center website for hours, contact information, and to schedule an appointment.

The library’s elevator is out of order! If you need help retrieving items from the upper or lower levels please let us know and we will get them for you.
