Storm Closing: Library Closing at 6:00pm on Sunday, Feb. 8th

weather-snowDue to the inclement weather, the Bentley Library will close at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8th. A decision about reopening on Monday will be made Monday morning. If the university is closed on Monday, the library will be closed.

Don’t forget that even when the library’s doors are closed, our research databases and eBook collections are always accessible from both on and off campus.

Extended Library Hours for Friday Evening Make-up Classes

The library is extending its hours for the Friday night make-up classes scheduled by the Registrar. To accommodate students attending evening make-up classes, the library will close at 8:00 p.m., two hours later than usual, on the following Fridays:

  • February 6
  • February 13
  • February 20
  • February 27
  • March 20
  • March 27

Let’s hope that additional snow day make-up classes will not need to be added to the schedule.  For more information about the library or café hours, please view the library’s online calendar.

New Books, DVDs, Audiobooks & Overdrive Downloadable Books

Check out our newest books, eBooks, audiobooks and movies!  Go to the New Books & DVDs page to browse the January new acquisitions lists by subject or format. When you see something you want, simply hit the “Request” button to place a hold on it.

To browse for new eBooks and audiobooks to read on a Kindle, NOOK, iPad, iPod, laptop or smartphone, visit the library’s OverDrive downloadable books collection. If you’d like help using OverDrive please view OverDrive’s Getting Started page or visit the Reference Desk for personal assistance.

Due to the inclement weather, Bentley University has canceled daytime classes and closed campus today, Monday, February 2nd. The Bentley Library will remain closed during the snow emergency.

The university will make an announcement about opening campus for evening classes by 2:00 p.m on Monday. A decision about opening the library for evening hours will be made after the university’s announcement.

Library Closed; Reopens Thursday 1/29 at 7:30am

Due to ongoing snow removal efforts, Bentley University has canceled evening classes on Wednesday, January 28th. The Bentley Library will also remain closed tonight.  The library expects to reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 29th.
