Spring Break Hours: Sat. March 7th – Sun. March 15th

It may not feel or look like spring, but it is time for Spring Break! Those of you not headed out of town might be wondering if the library is open during break. Yes, we are, with some modifications to our normal hours:

Friday, March 13:
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 14:
CLOSED

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

The Deloitte Cafe/Einstein Bros. Bagels will be closed throughout spring break. The library and cafe will resume regular hours on Monday, March 16, 2015. For more information please check the online hours calendarHave a wonderful break!

New Books, DVDs, Audiobooks & OverDrive Books

The library added over 200 new books, DVDs, audiobooks, and OverDrive downloadable books to the shelves last month!  Go to the New Books & DVDs page to browse the February new acquisitions lists by subject or format. When you see something you want, simply hit the “Request” button to place a hold on it.

To browse for new eBooks and audiobooks to read on a Kindle, NOOK, iPad, iPod, laptop or smartphone, visit the library’s OverDrive downloadable books collection. If you’d like help using OverDrive please view OverDrive’s Getting Started page or visit the Reference Desk for personal assistance.

Art Gallery Exhibit: Underwater Photography by Joshua Boger

Updated 04/13/2015:  As part of Bentley University’s #EarthDayatBentley celebration, Joshua Boger will be in the McGladrey Art Gallery on Wednesday, April 22nd from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Stop by to meet Dr. Boger and view his exhibit of underwater photography.

Now showing in the McGladrey Art Gallery is an exhibit of underwater photography from the reefs of Wakaya Island, Fiji, by Joshua Boger. The exhibit will be on view February 18 – April 25, 2015. More information about the artist and the exhibit is available via Xconomy, MassBio and the Lowell Sun.

All are invited to attend an opening reception for the exhibit on Thursday, February 19th, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Storm Closing: Library Closed Monday, Feb. 9th [Updated 1:10pm]

[Updated at 1:10 p.m.]  Bentley University has announced that campus will remain closed and evening classes are canceled. The Bentley Library will also remain closed today.  The library will reopen when classes resume. For official updates about the status of the university, check the Bentley University website or call the Bentley University Storm Emergency line at 781.891.2020.

Due to the inclement weather, Bentley University has canceled daytime classes and closed campus on Monday, February 9th. The Bentley Library will remain closed during the snow emergency.

The university will make an announcement about opening campus for evening classes by 2:00 p.m on Monday. A decision about opening the library for evening hours will be made after the university’s announcement.
