				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In April 2012, Dax Jacobson successfully defended his dissertation – “Successful IT-IORs &#8211; the role of governance”. The importance of IT in IT-IORs means that in addition to the challenges associated with managing organizational relationships there are also challenges that come with IT that crosses organizational boundaries. This dissertation explores these challenges and the relationship between technology and governance in three essays. Dax has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the Martin V. Smith School of Business at California State University Channel Islands. Dax’s dissertation adviser was Dr. M. Lynne Markus.</p>

<p>On April, 2012, Sonia Gantman defended her dissertation titled, “Three Interdisciplinary Studies on IT Outsourcing.” This dissertation includes analysis of PSN project survey data focused on the propensity of Public Safety Networks to outsource and the relationship between the quality of communication within a PSN and its IT outsourcing practices. Sonia has accepted a position at Providence College. Her dissertation advisor was Dr. Jane Fedorowicz.</p>
