Whats up everybody, it's me Javier. This week's service learning session, like all the others, was interesting one. We did the high anticipated trust fall activity. Most of the kids were familiar with the activity, so we didn't have many problems with behavior from the kids. They were really mature about it and did not fool around. I found it interesting that the kids did the activity with much ease. They were not scared and trusted each other a lot. I think that if I did this activity, I would have had a hard time. I'm one of those people who finds it hard to trust others, therefore making the activity very challenging for me. We also did the circle game, where everyone had to sit on each others laps. The kids found this activity easy too, and did it in two tries. Anwayz, have a nice weekend everybody. Take care.

Hey whats up,
I'm really glad that you enjoyed your service learning experience. It seems to me that you enjoyed the experience tremendously. However, in the passage above you quote that if you were in the children's shoes, it would be difficult for you to participate in the activity, because you have difficulty trusting others. However, after ten weeks of the 2+2=5 program, do you think that you as a child would have the same issues? Get back at me!

Javy,
I'm figuring that the students were able to easily complete the activity since they were familiar with it already. I'm not sure if by familiar you mean they have already done the activity or if they are just knowledgeable about it. If they already have done it before then there's a good chance that they can easily fall without too much fear.

The students are very cooperative when you tell them that it very exciting but they need to pay attention. So it was good that they were very good and nobody have to be kicked out.
Peace
Edison
